FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

What is GridStream Productions?
GridStream Productions (also called "GSP") is a non-profit organization based entirely in the world of Anarchy Online on the planet of Rubi-Ka. We are dedicated to bringing live audio entertainment to the world of Rubi-Ka in as many accessible forms as possible, with a primary focus on a form of radio-style internet broadcasting known to the real world as "Shoutcasting". On Rubi-Ka, this is known as "Gridcasting".

How do I tune in?
It's easy, the full instructions are here

What is Rubi-Ka?
Rubi-Ka is the world that exists within the confines of the MMORPG game Anarchy Online. It is a massive world, full of life and interesting characters from thousands of different walks of life. If you have never experienced the world of Rubi-Ka, we strongly recommend to go to the Anarchy Online main site (www.anarchy-online.com) and register, the basic access is free to play!

When can I hear live shows?
There is a regularly scheduled show on GSP virtually every single night! The daily schedule, always kept up-to-date, can be seen on the main page at http://www.gridstream.org/

What the heck is GridBot?
GridBot is a fantastic creation! She exists on the world of Rubi-Ka, and was raised by her half-brother, GSP's own Gridfan. You can access the information she has (such as what's currently playing, play history, recent GSP news, etc) by typing "/tell gridbot help" while on the world of Rubi-Ka on any dimension, and just wait for the referenced link to be sent back to you. Click that link and the pop-up window will show you about all the GridBot commands available to you!

Questions, suggestions about Gridbot? Drop by our forum and ask away!

Do you work for Funcom?
No, GSP does not work for Funcom in any way. We are a completely not-for-profit organization devoted to the entertainment of the people of Rubi-Ka. For the players, by the players. :)

Can I work for GSP?
Hiring for GridStream Productions happens in phases, so we may or may not be looking for someone at any given time. You may, however, apply for GSP at any time and your application will be reviewed during the next phase, garaunteed. We review and keep all applications.
What we cannot garauntee is that you will be hired. We receive many applications, and we cannot afford to be anything less than picky when going through them. We wish to be the best possible entertainment business we can be, so only those who are willing to dedicate themselves to our goals should apply.
The application form can be acquired through the appropriate link from the main page at http://www.gridstream.org/

Who the heck is Epicine?
Epicine is a pink-mohawked martial artist Atrox who was built in just under 4 minutes during Tarryk's attempt to create one of the most gimped-out and impossible-to-play characters ever. He raises the wrong skills, he has a horrible time levelling, he dies constantly, he talks in a high-pitched chipmunkish voice, and he produces gangster rap for GSP. He is an example to everyone out there who complains to much: Don't ever say your character couldn't be more gimped or couldn't suck more badly. Go take a look at Epicine. And he STILL has fun (and actually manages to gain a level once in a while, too).
